Zelda Worldwide Shipment Figure

Posted on May 24, 2012 by Falcool

Nintendo recently released three big charts, showing off the worldwide shipment figures of three of their major franchises. Among them, was the shipment figure for the Legend of Zelda games. While several games are missing, all of the 11 major ones are here. “Read more” for the chart! They also released charts for Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario Bros., which you can check out here. Personally, I’d like to see the Pokemon games as well.

Keep in mind that these are shipments, and not sales, since those two are different. Still, it should be fairly accurate. What did you think? Surprising that Twilight Princess is almost on top? Impressed with Skyward Sword so far? Let us know in the comments!

Well, now I understand why Majora's Mask isn't that popular. It was barely given a chance =/

Sales for the older games could have easily increased above what this chart says, what with the many rereleases, and the virtual console iterations. I wonder where Ocarina of Time would be on this chart if you take those into account. XD

    That is awesome.

By the way, I'M FINALLY BACK!

Of course Ocarina of Time is the highest on that chart. ;D

I watched the top selling video or favorite games of all time. Ocarina of time came in at # 11 another came in at #6 sorry don't remember the title. I'm pretty sure The Legend of Zelda was #2. I don't see how the sales can be so low considering they have 3 games in the top 11. I'm not quite sure but one of the games sold over 40 million copies of that I'm sure. If only 1 game sold over 40 million copies it's not hard to see that the total sales should be approaching 100 million or more possibly. Personally I think Zelda is the best game ever invented even better than an ape throwing barrels.
