The Adventure of Link is the second Zelda game in the Zelda series. It also takes place after Legend of Zelda. In this game they decided to experiment though and use a side scrolling screen instead of the overhead screen. They also added some RPG like features to it.
The Adventure of Link takes place in Hyrule yet again. But this time you have to go to throughout Hyrule to six different palaces. Link must fight a guardian at each of these palaces. Then Link must set a stone on a statue at each palace. After Link has finished this job he must return to the Great Palace and fight the last guardian. Then he will gain the Triforce of Courage and Princess Zelda will finally wake up from her deep slumber.
