Since Mario Kart 7′s release and it’s introduction of online communities, Nintendo has been obligated to maintain their new servers and are building on them in hopes of creating a solid online experience for all of their online games, oneĀ  that should meet the industries standards. We know a little bit about the Nintendo Network, they told us it supports the online communities of 3DS games. Physical media such as packaged games will be available at some point and downloadable content can be bought through the upcoming service. The possibility for DLC in a Zelda game has never been more tangible. We’re talking best case scenario, map packs, missions, new characters, events, extra dungeons, ya know? Two Things though, How likely is it this could happen, and what type of add-on content would they sell, if any?

Dark Souls vs Skyward Sword
Posted on January 27, 2012 by Raven
Raven

The wait is over, another chapter of lore has been added to The Legend of Zelda in Skyward Sword for Wii. Super-fans everywhere are indulging in their guilty pleasure and having fun. In the early goings something became very clear to me: My play style has been heavily altered from playing Dark Souls, as the knight class, clad in a mix and match of the traditional heavy armor. Dark Souls (also released in 2011) rarely holds your hand like the late Skyward Sword does, and comparing the two games is completely spoiler-free. So, want to read about my gripes with the new Zelda and how it could take pointers from a 360 title, as well as some tips from a fellow knight?

Brief Wii U Primer

Raven

Been a while, hasn’t it? Over a month since my last post. You must think I’ve been slacking; well, you’re right. Whenever a new Zelda game comes out I freeze up. There are too many spoilers to dodge and because of that I’ve been avoiding Skyward Sword related topics. Granted, I gave in a few times and spoiled myself, well no more! And for all of you who are in a similar situation this is a spoiler free article that talks about the Wii U and only mentions Skyward Sword passingly. I know some of you might want a Skyward Sword article instead – keep waiting, I’ll write one next time for sure. For now skim over this.

SpaghettiWeegee

The following is a musical article. While reading it, you’ll come across sound players. Let the music play during each section to set the perfect mood to enjoy viewing the 10 creepiest locations in the Zelda series.

“Zelda is a truly terrifying series. I know all the colorful characters and settings give the impression that it’s meant to be a bright, cheerful series, but that’s just because Nintendo didn’t want to scare the kids away. You see, if you really look deeper and analyze all the horrors in the Zelda series, you start to get the impression that the writing staff brought in Stephen King and H.P. Lovecraft for a little collaborative work.

So, with this in mind, and Halloween upon us, Zelda Eternity proudly presents a list of the Top Ten Most Terrifying Zelda Locations. Just ignore that strange bongo sound off in the distance and be sure to check behind you for Dead Hand before you begin reading. We’d hate to lose another fan.”

The Legend of Star Wars | Episode V: The Wind Waker Strikes Back!

A long time ago, on a fansite far, far from professional…

If you’re like me, when you hear the words “Wookie”, “Starfighter”, “Clone Troopers”, and the like, you’ll find yourself strangely aroused thinking about the Sci-Fi epic movie series, Star Wars. However, the memories these words are probably not going to provoke are those of another epic series, the Zelda series. This seems to be a logical thought process, but what if I told you that these two series were more connected than you could have ever imagined? As it so happens, that’s exactly what I’m telling you, and not just because I couldn’t post this article on this site if I didn’t somehow tie it in to Zelda! Yes, I’m suggesting that Zelda and Star Wars are not just similar, but actually one and the same. Don’t believe me? Allow me to elaborate…

Before and after every move the giant corporate company makes, rumors spread like forest fires across the net. There have been quite a few such moves of late, some bad and some worse. As a result, fans and the media have been guessing at what their next strategy could be to entice buyers back. The bundle for Skyward Sword is a hot topic right now, but that has been confirmed. Also, Four Swords on DSi and 3DS is due this month of September 2011.

Dates are intertwined with, and a big part of the rumor business. Mentioning a specific day of the month can generate all sorts of speculation, the mob known as the Zelda community are always banking on dates. Announcements and game releases for Zelda are seldom given by Nintendo. When a date is mentioned by the company itself, everyone is ready with their best guess as to what that date was set for.

Reasons to remake Majora’s Mask
Posted on July 25, 2011 by Raven
Raven

Thinking it over, now more than ever, fans will want to see this game remade for Nintendo’s 3DS. Below you can read a short list of reasons why the game should be made, or why the game should have been made. It has been mentioned that Ocarina of Time 3D might have the best 3D effect of any game on the 3DS to date. Why not give Majora’s Mask the same treatment as it’s prequel. Therein lies a problem, Nintendo is on a small streak of not making the games their fans want most (rainfall). Having finished the main quest, and seeing the resolution at the end, owning the sequel in this newer form would be very appealing. It can’t be helped, after seeing those final cut scenes. We’ve always enjoyed the different towns and villages found across the world map. After waiting for so long, Skyloft has appeared in the new E3 2011 trailer. A modest fraction of the trailer was dedicated to teasing this new area, supposedly helping to get fans used to the ideas they are introducing. Let’s take a closer look.

Music crafted during the early days of home consoles was and still is a major challenge. A few have managed to reach celebrity status for their compositions, and Koji Kondo is one of the most renowned because of his talent. People around the world know him for his work on Zelda and Mario games. He was something of an audio pioneer on the NES. A good place to start for anyone interested in programming chiptunes.

Which is the Dominant Race, Anyway?
Posted on May 21, 2011 by Macbook5
Macbook5

Hello all, Macbook5 here. Welcome to my first official article as a Zelda Eternity writer! I know I’m about six months overdue with this, but hey, at least you got it before year’s end. So, here we go!

Gerudo. Deku. Hylian. Who are these people? Trick question; they aren’t people; they’re a few of the different races of Hyrule. Now, in our world, mankind is the undisputed ruling race of the Earth, but that’s only because we’re the only self-aware beings. Now in Hyrule, there are several self-aware races, and humans don’t exist in any large population (one of the only known civilizations is Ordon Village) so which species is the dominant in their universe? Things change over time, different races gain and lose abilities, and some disappear completely, and so this article will deal with those existing at the time of Ocarina of Time. Read on, read onners.

Which is the greatest?
