That’s right, a picture has been posted at 4chan, and it is supposed to reveal the character list from the new Super Smash Bros Universe that is coming for Wii U and 3DS at an unknown date. We do not have much confirmed about this game except for that it is in progress, so I’m not sure this list is correct at all, but do take a look, because it’s pretty interesting…

Update: This is all a misunderstanding, Nintendo has responded confirming that this was not true, so keep in mind that this post was written before we got this information.
There is always an end to all good things. The Roman Empire ended with economic collapse and barbarians. The Death Star ended with the Rebel Alliance. Scooby Doo ended with the introduction of Scrappy. Today, I bring the unfortunate news that Nintendo Executive, Shigeru Miyamoto, is stepping down from his current position as Nintendo’s general producer, in favor of taking the lead in smaller, more personal projects at the head of game development. Says Miyamoto in an interview with Wired:
“Inside our office, I’ve been recently declaring, ‘I’m going to retire, I’m going to retire’. I’m not saying that I’m going to retire from game development altogether. What I mean by retiring is, retiring from my current position. What I really want to do is be in the forefront of game development once again myself, probably working on a smaller project with even younger developers. Or I might be interested in making something that I can make myself, by myself. Something really small.”

A sum up of some interesting news we’ve gotten these last few days. Eiji Aonuma has said that he wants Zelda Wii U completed within 3 years, an interesting goal. Majora’s mask was completed it one, but that recycled tons of graphics and gameplay. Can they really create a big HD Zelda game in 3 years? In addition to this, IGN has told us that Nintendo are currently working on two Zelda titles, the other one probably being Zelda 3DS (that they’ve also said is going to be something different than Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks). I’m not sure if Nintendo will be able to make two completely new games in such a short amount of time. My hope is that they give us Majora’s Mask 3DS instead, and focus mainly on Zelda Wii U.
Contrary to rumors, Nintendo has confirmed that the 10 free GBA games for Nintendo Ambassadors will be downloadable before the end of December. Someone in Spain had listed them for 2012, but this can now be confirmed to be false. If you’ve finished Skyward Sword and are waiting on these games or something else, you can always try out Cave Story 3D, Super Mario 3D Land or just wait a couple of days for Mario Kart 7. If you haven’t voted for Skyward Sword yet, be sure to check out the post below for details on the competition currently going on.

Continuing the many interventures of Mr. Satoru Iwata, a new entry in the series “Iwata Asks”, where Mr. Iwata interviews the development teams of different games has just been posted, this time covering Skyward Sword, and more accurately, Lanayru Desert. In this addition, Mr. Iwata asks the team about the structure of the desert, how they went about creating it, what players can expect when they visit, and much more! The interview in its entirety can be found here, but as always, please beware, as it does include some minor spoilers.
And that’s it from me. Weegee, out.

Firstly I would like to apologize for my lack of activity recently. I’ve started a brand-new school with brand-new people, so there’s alot of time I need to put off for it. However, now that Skyward Sword is apporaching, I’ll make sure to post any major news about the game, as I’m just as (or even more) excited as you are! Anyway, the bundle that was posted about before has been confirmed for Australia and Europe. You should be able to pre-order it easily online, and if you can’t find it, don’t panic, there’s still more than 2 months to go after all.
The free NES games for the Nintendo Ambassador program will be available from the 1st of September (or at least some of them should be). These will include both the original Legend of Zelda and the Adventure of Link! You can view them all here. I haven’t heard anything about Four Swords yet, but remember, that will also be available later this year!

At 11:59 pm est today the doors close to claim 10 free NES games and 10 Ambassador exclusive Gameboy Advance games. Walmart has already reduced the price so you can spend less and be an ambassador. Just remember to get onto the eShop before midnight if you want that free NES Zelda!
Nintendo has no plans to make a 3DS lite anytime soon. They believe the form is “quite strong and quite positive”. The only new feature to the 3DS anytime soon is the Flame Red 3DS. With this announcement AND the price drop I do think the sales will increase alot.

That’s right, in honor of the 25th anniversary Nintendo is holding a flipnote contest until September 9th. The winning flipnote will be published on the Nintendo website located at zelda.nintendo.com, Flipnote Hatena, and Nintendo Channel. Winning flipnotes will be published around October 14, 2011.
For even more details about entering, click this LINK (It’s been a while since I did that).

That’s right! If you own a 3DS you will get 10 NES and 10 Gameboy Advance Virtual Console games thru the eShop. This is all thanks to the recent announcement that the 3DS will drop in price to $169.99. If you buy the 3DS before the price drop and connect to the eShop at least once before August 12th then the free games are yours. The free games are not available to those who buy the 3DS after the price cut. Some of the games include The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros, Yoshi’s Island and many more. Read more…

Industry Gamers interviewed Aonuma a little while back, and he brings light to certain things. One thing, which we have heard before, is that when a Wii U Zelda title comes out it’s not guaranteed to be in the same style as the tech demo at E3. Also it takes about 3 years, according to Aonuma, to make a Zelda game so releasing a new game at the same time as a new console is a matter of pure coincidence. He also wants to make Zelda games more quickly, which all Zelda fans would love. Aonuma talks about how Miyamoto likes to come in, throw stuff out, and cause lots of chaos but says it’s also helpful. It helps with feedback and solving problems. He also mentions that Skyward Sword could possibly be the last Wii title from Nintendo but he can’t say for sure. Nintendo also wants to be unique with how it takes on online gaming and have not done much with it because it would not be very unique compared to what other people are doing. They want it to be a natural extension of the game, something unique. To read the full interview, click on the source below and let us know what you think in our comments section!

If you live in America and own a 3DS and have a Netflix subscription then you are in luck. Tomorrow Netflix hits the eShop, allowing people to watch unlimited 2D video anywhere they have a wifi connection. It slightly makes up for the delay in the Nintendo Video application in the US (Europe already has the Video application). Tell us what you think below! P.S. That metroid marathon is still going on, it’s a blast.
