- Zelda Eternity
I guess it’s official now, Skyward Sword has been out for a whole year. I’m probably speaking for everyone when I say this year has gone by extremely fast. Now that even the newest Zelda game is a year old, I think we can also all agree that it’s about time we need a new game, or at least a new game that we can look forward to… Anyway, did you do anything special for Skyward Sword’s anniversary? Leave a comment if you did! I, myself, am doing a little anniversary playthough, but I guess that’s the most regular thing to do.
Before I keep on rambling, let me move on to the other part of this post. This video was uploaded to Youtube just yesterday, by user FinalCutKing, and it was sent to us by a fan. In this short film, Link travels through the “digital world” and battles various enemies as he is searching for Princess Zelda. It is very well made and sure must have taken a lot of work!
Also, Gangnam Style dancing Gorons… yes!
Hey, Zelda Eternity readers! Boy, we’ve been posting a whole lot lately. It’s hard to keep up with all of these updates! In fact, we haven’t had a surplus of updates like this in months! I’m sure you’re all tired of all the updating we’ve been doing lately, so I apologize for bringing more needlessly in. If you think Zelda Eternity updates too much, however, and would like to help it update less, then you should totally hit up our Staff Openings page or something. It’s not like we’re shorthanded and need help or anything, as you can tell by our impeccable record with posting! 11 days… 11 days… Anyway, today’s update comes from the webcomic AWKWARD ZOMBIE. It’s Skyward Sword themed, which means that while a number of casual Awkward Zombie fans will love it, most of the hardcore, inner-community fans will be overly critical and tear it down for being too different, having little re-read value, and having motion controls!! Enjoy responsibly.
A couple of weeks ago, Squall posted a very interesting article on zelda-sanctuary.net, where she brings up some examples of how the two demon kings, Demise and Malladus, could be connected. Among the things is that Malladus possibly could be a reincarnation of Demise. Pretty interesting, right? I think the article is very good and that most of her claims are likely to be true. Those of you who felt your special edition Golden Skyward Sword Remote *sparkle sparkle* was feeling lonely back when it first came bundled with the first release of Skyward Sword can now find a life partner for the little guy from Club Nintendo. This charming young lady is called the “Golden Nunchuck”, and she makes for the perfect companion for all of your Skyward-themed weaponry. Careful, though– she has high standards. A prize weighing in at a whopping 900 coins, this Nunchuck won’t just let any rabble wield her– only the richest and classiest of adventurers. Better get out your Giant’s Wallet. We can assume that the scintillating gold of his Nunchuck is made out of all of the Club Nintendo coins thrown its way. If you happen to have enough for this prize, head on over to Club Nintendo and end your Golden Wiimote’s days of loneliness. If not, however, you might want to consider signing up for wiiHarmony.com.
And that’s it for today. Weegee, out.
Another Zelda action figure will be available this October and might sell for something like $40-50. But it isn’t courtesy of First 4 Figures, this time Figma will create their own version of Link and wow! Just wow!
You can see more pictures after the break.
US chain, K-Mart, will be selling The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for $19.99 for the next 5 days, which would be until May 12th. This would be a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has not already bought the game, since it most likely will not be this cheap for a long time afterwards. That’s all for now, though. Make sure to pick up your copies before time runs out!
Note: Though on K-Mart’s site it’s listed as $39.99 (because the $19.99 was an ad-misprint), the store will still honor the price on the ad through an override.
The Zelda community has been harping on this issue.
Now we’ll uncover if Zelda’s father was a lyre when he told her it was called a harp.
So what do you think? Harp, Lyre, or some entirely original and as of yet unseen instrument with a name humans can’t pronounce most closely translated to “harp”?
Or it could just be a metal circle with strings strung through it. That’s what they did for the Harp of Ages.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, you’ll know that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was released on November 20th of last year. It has of course been a success, and many Zelda fans have put it on their list of favorites. Now, if you haven’t had the chance to play this gem for yourself yet (and I truly pity you if you haven’t), then it is about time you do so. And what better time to purchase a copy now that the price has been lowered down to just thirty dollars.
That’s right! Toys “R” Us has recently dropped Skyward Sword twenty dollars down from its starting price of fifty. What is especially odd is that this has happened so early in the game’s lifetime. Most first party Nintendo games stay near their starting price for a while, and having a 4 month old Zelda game drop down to this price is a godsend. So in conclusion, go ahead and buy the game if you haven’t! Go here for more information. That’s all for now, guys.
