Since we've moved over to WordPress for updating the site, we figured we didn't want to get rid of our previous updates or spend a long time adding them to WordPress one by one. So now, you can view all our updates from May 13, 2009 to December 18, 2009.

Just a small update. You have until the end of today (11:59:59PM EST) to get your applications in due to the fact that I am mean and stuff. Just joking. It's just because it's hard to maintain a bunch of applicants and such but never fear, if you didn't make the date, try signing up again in the future if we need anybody. If you still have time, visit our Staff Openings page. In other news, Spirit Tracks is pretty good so far and I'm really liking the train that people seemed to hate at first. It's quite a fun ride. I'm not going to say anymore about that. I will be starting two new Spirit Tracks guides in the coming days as they are pretty simple to make.
For those of you who don't know, I am a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series because it is pretty funny and it is awesome. For those of you who don't know what an "Abridged Series" is, it's pretty much a shorter version of an original show or something like that. There is even an OoT and MM Abridged on YouTube. Anyway, I thought since Spirit Tracks came out that I'd make a mention of it since a couple of episodes parody Zelda, mainly Ocarina of Time. The episodes would be Episode 21 and Episode 27.
That brings me to another thing, if you liked the episodes you watched, you should vote for CardGamesFTW in Mashable's 3rd Annual Open Web Awards under the "Funniest YouTube Channel" category. The voting period ends on December 13th so that give you a couple more days and you can vote once a day through Twitter or Facebook but if you have both, you can vote twice a day. Don't forget to vote for the Angry Video Game Nerd for "Best Online Video Web Series" as well since he did make a Zelda video.
I know this seems like a long boring update but I thought I'd put it out there. Well, that about wraps it up for today. Sometime this weekend, we'll announce the new staff, which will most likely be Monday instead. Believe it!

Over the past little while, we have received quite a few applications during the past week or so. With this, we are going to stop accepting applications for now but you can still get back to us if you want to help contribute to the site such as writing an article or sending in your own fan artwork, etc. Anyway, you have until December 11 to send in an application which is this Friday. So get in your applications fast for we won't accept you after that date but might keep you in mind for future consideration.
Lastly, I don't have Spirit Tracks yet due to the fact that the store I preordered at has not received their shipment so I might have it later today or tomorrow. Basically, expect some Spirit Tracks content in the coming days. I will get back to Majora's Mask content eventually. That's about it for today. Once we're done with Spirit Tracks, now we wait for more Zelda Wii information...
Update: Gotta wait until tomorrow now (Wednesday) to get Spirit Tracks!

Spirit Tracks Update, I have tried Spirit Tracks!

Time for another Update! I am happy to say that I have just now, personally tried Spirit Tracks as one of the first Norwegians ever. What I am going to tell you now does not contain many spoilers, and you probably know most of the things already, but you are hereby warned.
Okay, let me start with the controls. They are much like the PH controls but improved. The rolling is much easier by just tapping instead of creating circles, and i also got the feeling that i was running much faster. I think it is great that you can control Zelda in this game, since it is really easy to control her, and changing from Link to the Phantom really works fast and effective. Concerning the train, i think it was a little bit difficult to stop though it worked well enough. To be honest, I think most of the hour I played was really easy, and I didn't get stuck or die at all, but we should remember that it won't be that easy for those who have never tried Zelda before. And I didn't get a chance to get that far either. When it comes to the storyline, I think it is pretty good. The first cut scene was really cool, and contains many good and interesting characters. I am really going to buy this game, and I recommend all Zelda fans to do likewise!
By the way, you Spirit Tracks fans out there should check out the new Screen shots from Zelda Informer here: 567 New Spirit Tracks Screen shots!
