Hidden Musical Gems - Your Favorite Lesser-Known Zelda Tunes

Hey there! On this thread, the idea is to simply post some of the lesser-known music from the Zelda series and introduce it to everyone else. Obscure music tends to be shy, you see.



This is my friend, the Ocean King Theme from Phantom Hourglass. He didn't make too many appearances in Phantom Hourglass, but when he came out, he stole the show. His simple, yet magical melody feels seaworthy and adventuresome, and the percussion line is exotic, yet inviting. Overall, he's a very nice and relaxing song that I wish was overlooked less. Perhaps its because he has to associate with the rest of the Phantom Hourglass soundtrack? They're not that nice of a bunch, so I hear.

Ooooh, good choice. I agree, Minish Cap had a lot of really good dungeon themes that nobody seems to remember. Why is it the handhelds' soundtracks always get overlooked? It's just not right. =|

Very true, but people still remember the likes of A Link to the Past despite the same problem. Perhaps it's respect for the pioneers of the series on that count, though.

The 3DS has excellent sound quality, though. Perhaps handheld Zelda music will start to be remembered this generation.

Perhaps one of the greatest pieces of music in Spirit Tracks, and having it as the final boss music just makes it more epic.

As a side note, I'd appreciate if someone could PM me how to make youtube videos show directly on the forums. There used to be a button for it, but this button, along with many other ones, disappeared after we moved over to vBulletin. (I already got the answer I wanted, but I'm keeping this in to avoid confusion)

That track totally made the final boss for me. I gotta admit, it teared me up a bit. So gorgeous...

Oh wait, Emhave, you don't have the advanced text editor enabled, do you?
Because with that I have all the options and more.

On the top right of the page, go to "Settings"
Then, find the section on the left, called "My Settings", Subsection "My Account", click on "General Settings"
There, scroll all the way down to "Miscellaneous Options" and choose "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editor"

I honestly have no idea why that's not enabled by default.
