Things to Keep from Skyward Sword

Here's a quick list of the things from Skyward Sword that I think should become staple in the Zelda series. (Those that would only apply to console Zelda will be marked with an asterisk.)

    - Wii MotionPlus*
    - Adventure Pouch
    - Real-time item menu*
    - Upgrade system
    - Dungeon-style overworld
    - Overworld bosses
    - Story-involved main antagonist
    - Stamina Gauge
    - Action-oriented dungeon bosses
    - Improved enemy AI and blocking techniques
    - Returning to previous areas
    - Returning to previous dungeons
    - Improved storytelling

What do you think the series should keep from Skyward Sword?

    - Wii MotionPlus, I don't think it needs to be with motion, ALTHOUGH Nintendo has said they'll do it again probably.
    - Adventure Pouch, YES, definitely, great way to keep quest items and the item check is great as well, I just want even more different stuff.
    - Real-time item menu, yes, but also more buttons to assing items to, I like WW's 3.
    - Upgrade system, yeah, but even more expanded and maybe a bit different and more logical on what items you need.
    - Dungeon-style overworld, yeah, but I would also like more villages and citites than one. So sure, wild and dangerous in the overworld (tbh it mostly is) but also more villages and towns.
    - Overworld bosses, yeah, I already explained this in the other thread about it.
    - Story-involved main antagonist, I guess
    - Stamina Gauge, maybe, depends on how they use it, but I definitely want running or something, yeah.
    - Action-oriented dungeon bosses, aren't they always?
    - Improved enemy AI and blocking techniques, definitely! I want Darknuts or Iron Knuckles with this...
    - Returning to previous areas, yes, but NOT in the linear way that SS uses.
    - Returning to previous dungeons, MORE THAN ONCE, and if just one, DEFINITELY not the first dungeon.
    - Improved storytelling, agreed.

    Other things:
    - Beetle, yes please
    - Timeshift stones, HECK YES!
    - Silent Realms, you should be able to go through the WHOLE world in the silent realm!
    - Mini-dungeons like the one before the sandship, just MORE of them!
    - The Thrill digger game, that game was ADDICTING!

The main thing it should NOT keep!
    - Linearity (3 dungeons, major plot stuff, 3 dungeons, major plot stuff, 3 mini-quests, basically visiting the 3 regions 3 times, and SO ON!)

Heh, Falcool responded to Juicy's points, the one who posted above him, and afterwards added his own points. I will continue that trend. =D

    - Beetle, yes please. One of the best items made so far in the series. Would be a huge loss not to keep it. I hope the'll keep the upgrades too.
    - Timeshift stones, HECK YES! Unless there's a SS sequel, I kind of doubt they'll appear in any other game than SS, but I wouldn't mind having them.
    - Silent Realms, you should be able to go through the WHOLE world in the silent realm! =O That would have been awesome. My boby is ready for this.
    - Mini-dungeons like the one before the sandship, just MORE of them! Wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo made more mini-dungeons before a bigger dungeon. Perhaps we'll even get a mini-bosses at the end of them?
    - The Thrill digger game, that game was ADDICTING! I never found it that addicting, to be honest. There should have been a Piece of Heart as a prize there... =/

The main thing it should NOT keep!
    - Linearity (3 dungeons, major plot stuff, 3 dungeons, major plot stuff, 3 mini-quests, basically visiting the 3 regions 3 times, and SO ON!) I honestly don't care much about this XD I guess I would still prefer if they did not do this.

    My own:
    - Puzzles like the one by the Isle of Songs, just more of them.
    - The Water Dragon Scale, swimming with it was just fantastic. They'll most likely also keep the oxygen gauge if they keep the scale.
    - Stamina potion, Air potion, and the possibility of upgrading them.
    - A "pling" in our head at the end of the game, like when *spoiler*
    Spoiler Spoiler:

    LoZ | AoL | ALttP | LA | OoT | MM | OoA | OoS | WW* | TMC | TP | PH | ST | SS

    Black: Completed | Blue: Completed 100% | Green: 3HR** | Purple: 100% and 3HR**
    *Exluding the Nintendo Gallery
**4 Health Bar Run in AoL and 6 Heart Run in SS

    My Response to Emhave:
    - "Puzzles like the one by the Isle of Songs, just more of them." AGREED! It had too few actually mind-boggling puzzles.
    - "The Water Dragon Scale, swimming with it was just fantastic. They'll most likely also keep the oxygen gauge if they keep the scale." YES! And the nunchuck shake thing, that was the best thing for me, being able to do that boost.
    - "Stamina potion, Air potion, and the possibility of upgrading them." Never really used them, so idk...
    - "A "pling" in our head at the end of the game, like when *spoiler*" Good point.

...Yeah I've got nothing else than what I said before XD

What do you think the series should keep from Skyward Sword?
    - If they can make it work, then yes.
    - Didn't mind, but I kind of prefer the inventory.
    - Not bad, but I don't mind.
    - Yes, the upgrade system was fantastic, and creative.
    - I guess.....
    - Sure, why not?
    - Yes, just yes.
    - I definitely prefer running over rolling, but it's been proven that rolling is a faster method. The Stamina Gauge should appear in the next installment though.
    - Sure.
    - Yes.
    - Yes.
    - Yes, but I wouldn't like it to be the same when Link has to return there. Such as Skyview Temple.
    - Of course, this should be a STAPLE to the series.

Actually, it's only been proven that rolling is faster than running in every 3D title that isn't Skyward Sword. The dashing gets you places much faster.

Of course. I would never want it to stay the same as it was in SS. I want to return to multiple dungeons and for them to have previously closed-off areas. Doing this is still keeping the aspect in the series, though.
