So, I've been itching to write a short story lately. Specifically, I've been thinking of writing another fanfic. I tend to shy away from fanfics because of the reputation most fanfic writers get for turning unoriginal characters into Mary Sues and Gary Stus and having them copulate in grotesque detail.
I have the beginnings of an idea which I'll plan out more if I can't think of anything else, but I'm here to ask: What interests you guys? I'm not a huge fan of taking someone else's character and turning it into my own main character, as I've made clear to some of you, so I like to have original characters in my stories - including fanfics.
I liked writing the origin story for another character in A Light in the Dark, and I was thinking of doing another along these lines. In the beginning idea I have for another story, the subject is Old Man.
So yeah, there's my question up there. I could always go back and re-outline some plans I'd made for a Pokémon fanfic awhile back... but that's a longer, more epic1 tale.
